A New Blog

Hey guys I just wanted to point out that Avengers has made a blog of their own.  I have linked to it on the right. No hard feelings for the shots that they will post.  I am glad that it wont be one sided.. I was starting to feel like the server villain for doing something that we in lineage have done since .77. I am also excited to see how many dead shots of me they have.  I have a count of 8 times now even though Int says its 10000x... I guess now we will get an answer. I also hope that now Avengers have an outlet to share their anger and frustration.. and successes with kills we in game can be more friendly.. probably not though.

Speaking of my deaths.. here is number 8.  I hope by me posting my deaths you can see its my attempt to be humble. I am not the best mage on the server and never claim to be.  Maybe Int and others will start to post their deaths.. I doubt it.. Pride runs deeeeeeep.

I havent been able to play much but the other day I did get on for a fight in GP..

This one was my fault.  As you can see in F8 I have rtele instead of tele home.  I had been rteling around stealing MP from gp mops and landed in the middle of the fight.  No biggie but when I had to venz I hit rtele.. and I had that rtele bug where u rtele to the same exact spot. I hit rtele again and for a second time i rteled to the same spot.  Triple arrows conitue to follow u through those teles and I flopped.. Bad luck and silliness for not using tele home. O well..

So Much Talking..

Many of Avengers love to say how much of a noob I am.  They comment that I am a noone and I am not "recognized." Well there are still some Avengers I haven't killed.. Other than Man and Kyrie, I think I have killed every 80+ they have (apart from the Happy players who recently joined, who I try not to hit).

I also got Ameratas but don't have the cool server announcement.

Lastly, its important to know that many of these players I have gotten many times ( Capwne 5x, Baromsori 4x, zeroelf 3x etc etc)

So it is silly when you say all I do is run, or that I never do anything.. here is a big part of your pledge dead..

Onto more server news:

FAMILY IS BACK!!

After much talk we decided to revive Family. It was fun fighting along side Theone but it was time to return where I belong - Family. If you remember, it was specialist who forced me into the war in the first place and I joined with Happy.  Happy had many members quit and because we were very few in numbers we joined Specialist to make Theone. Well now we are back to Family and we hit both pledges.  The server needs a good 3 sided war.

Now family won't have as many members as TheOne but what we lack in numbers we will make up for in our ability to work together. Many players are already returning to the server with more on their way. Over the next week or two we expect 10-15 players to return.

In the first fight we went to we were already doing very well, even though it was only 4 of us against 8-10.

If you had not noticed, capwne has just been afk in town for a week or two now... welll here is his mage picking up where his illu left off.

A new player who joined Avengers. Welcome!

The players in Family are seasoned fighters and we have good chemistry. I have a feeling we are going to kill many people. Especially once SUYA and Mission return (this week).

Now it is very dangerous to fight Family, its even more dangerous to be in Avengers while at a fight...

We all hate dying.. but to be killed by your own pledge.. QQ that sucks.

What everyone wants...

The last post was designed to be helpful for newer players. Apparently, the only thing most people want to see are dead bodies because I got a ton of responses like "it's boring, I want to see people dead" etc etc.

So here is the good stuff I guess..


To start lets focus on something sad.. An active member of Avengers pleading for peace..

Now sure, he will say he was joking and Avengers will say he was but I am telling you he wasn't. It is just my opinion, but we were chasing him and he said this several times. This was after his pledge has lost at several fights and sieges.. maybe he is getting discouraged.

Now to his brother, Achiles (literally Morgan, Achiles and Koma are RL bros.. I want in on that family, I wish my siblings all played):

There was another fun siege:

As you can see we were outnumbered for most of the siege.

About 20 minutes into our defense of Giran this happened,

I have never experienced it.. almost our entire pledge DCed at the same exact time. I am not sure if it affected Avengers like it affected us but my guess is no.  They took the castle 2 or 3 minutes after we all dced.

We did manage to retake it. Avengers eventually broke through our defenses...

They made this final push in the last 2 minutes but...

Were unable to retake it.

After the siege, we had a nice large DVK fight. Avengers hates fighting in DVK and I get it.  They have many mages and elves but they are not super strong.  At TOS they can all form a group on bridge and be quite lethal. In open space however, like DVK they die fast..

The next day we heard that Avengers were trying to raid Sky Boss.. so we went and venzed them..

I like sky raid, its unique and fun. I also find they polies that sometimes happen funny.

After we venzed them, I guess they didn't get the message.. they came back for more.

Hope that Feeds your need for dead bodies for a while..

O wait one more.. and this one hurts...

QQ.. Thats twice in a week now. I am getting a bit reckless. If you see, I did it again. I have that party window open instead of my status so I couldn't shout (not enough control to ctrl+E).. O well later that night we got him twice at siege so its not terrible. Hopefully this is the last dead pick I need to post for a while..

Making Money on Zero

Recently, Zero has made a few changes and has purposed making a few more about adena drop on the server.  Many players have been saying they have a hard time raising money on Zero.  I thought I would make a post explaining how I make money here. You must however, decide between EXP and Adena -- you can't gain both at the same time which I think is a good thing.

There are several ways I make money here on zero:

DI

I frequently run through DI to hunt bosses here. They are not difficult to kill and the spawn every 30-60  minutes. This is a place even newer players can hunt with success.  I usually net several bzel/bdia per full run. Currently I get 600k per bzel and 300k per bdia. So if I am lucky I can make 3-5m in a 10-15 minute boss cleaning of DI.

TOI Bossing:

In a previous post I explained how someone can make the chaos charms pretty easily. I try to get all the toi bosses atleast 2-3 times a day.

There are also many other bosses that can drop very well including:

Varlok
Chaos
Death
Jeb
Anibus
Fafu (and all dragons)
AG
Demon


Also, if you get lucky, you might get a drop like this:

So try hunting some bosses, that will help.

Sky:

Everyday you get an hour of sky time, now I don't usually use it up but I try to spend some time there.  Now, I know quite a bit about economics (I studied it in college) and I know that with a shortage of adena on the server, the items dropping here have not been selling very well. What I try to do is to over enchant them. Yes, Tarak Boots are only 5m but +7 is 30m or more. If I get lucky and make it +8 its even more.


Death Match

Death Matches are another good source of revenue as they drop 2-5 coma pieces and coma pieces sell for 1.5-1.7m each.  Death matches happen every 6 hours and last 20 minutes long. They are super easy to complete and even beginners can participate. Now, I use the coma pieces but if you wanted to sell them and made 2 DMs a day with an average of 6 coma pieces that's roughly 10m right there. I am always surprised that our DMs arent full. It is easy money guys!!

Gems and Crystals

I gather up on 50f for exp and lawful when I need to. This is about a month's worth of gems turned in. So again, its important to choose hunting areas that do more than dropping just adena but gems, scrolls, and things you can dissolve

Another good way to make money is to dissolve items.  Here I have an rotc, which I have many from bosses, and I dissolved it into 400k crystals. Now you can double click them and 10k crystal turns into 50k adena. So this ROTC became 2m cash. Not bad at all.

AFK / Fishing:

I didn't take a photo of it but going afk and fishing is a great way to make money while you live your real life. You get feathers from being afk and make berries while fishing. 

So the point of this post is that you need to be creative.  Even with all the fighting I do, I am making 10-15m a day and if I wasn't fighting you could be making much much more.  Remember live, it takes a long time to accumulate wealth in lineage. If you want it today, you have to donate. Otherwise, be patient and in a few months you will be rich.

We All Die.. Even Int

Since I have started posting all of the fun fights and shanaigans of the server, many people from Avengers have started to dislike me (hehe qq). But I understand, no one wants to see their dead body out in the public for all to see. Many of them demand that I post pictures of my own pledge mates dead which is stupid, I think. I won't ever post pictures of my friends and pledge mates dead, why would anyone do that? However, one thing they did call for is for me to post my own dead pics. Now, believe it or not, I am not a prideful man. I know that we all die. I now have died 6 times in pvp since I joined this server. I have kept track of them very carefully because I don't like to die and I actually track how often I die, where I die, and how I die. I think this careful study helps me to be better and not make the same mistakes over and over.

Well, the other day I died in a big fun fight (my 6th death):

See my biggest fans want me to put it on blog. Here, I died in a stun to destroy and my mistake was that I had the party window open instead of my status window open, so when I went to double click my weight bar to scream, it wasnt there and I died. Again, it happens to us all.

Now some of us are very prideful and very angry all the time. Enter the player known as Int. He talks alot to other players and is always so mad. He made this statement the other day as he was calling me a noob and asked me why I die 10000x (lol he was mad).

Now his english isnt great, but I think he meant to say noone can kill him, that he never dies. Now don't get me wrong, I think int is the strongest mage on the server. He is probably 85 now and his gear is crazy good. But I also think he is the rudest player on the server. He plays with no manners and is always so mad.

If you look closely you can actually see 2 destroys, my destroy is slightly faded out behind KIHO's. 

Here Int was dead right outside giran siege, I blacked out most of it because there is a dead body of a friend right next to it. Int died as he killed one of my pledge mates.

Now these are just the ones I have.  Int has died many other times. But thats ok, we all die. What isn't ok is pretending like you are god and never die. QQ.

So please don't be offended if you see your face here. It is not personal, it is just part of lineage culture. If you don't believe me click on some of those old link on my site. For 15 years we have been posting dead bodies. This is ultimately why we play lineage, why it is so fun and so addicting.  The opportunity to kill other players who are our in game enemies!!

However, when we are not at fights lets be friendly. I will continue to work on doing better at this. I know sometimes I can be rude also but I promise I am trying hard to be better.
